First Circle aims to finance more and more possibilities for MSMEs in the Philippines by providing multiple avenues that entrepreneurs, business owners, and employees can benefit from. These opportunities go beyond finances, as knowledge is also shared with the intention of helping individuals better understand how to run their companies more efficiently, thus driving growth and stability.
The 9th First Circle Connect session, Closing the Books, tackled End-of-Year Taxation led by Atty. Arnold Apdua, Managing Partner of AAA and Co., and Reporting and Budget Forecasting care of First Circle’s Head of Finance, Stephen McKee.
Atty. Apdua’s talk was centred on awareness of the tax liabilities companies have at the end of the year, reminding attendees that they should comply with existing BIR rules and regulations. Stephen focused on two main points: the first being financial reporting, covering external financial reporting to regulators and internal reporting to management, and the second addressed budget forecasting, helping companies plan for the year ahead.
